Darke | gallery is pleased to announce it's participation in FotoFest 2008 featuring David A. Brown's everyday/everydaydreams solo exhibition.
Houston-based artist Brown reinterprets the world through the lens of his camera in a way that can only be described as magical. Brown refers to his images as slices of beauty cut from the extra ordinary spaces we dwell in everyday in Houston. In the everydaydream section of the exhibition are prints created by manually exposing the film using metal, wood, glass and other found objects with light to mark the emulsion.
The exhibition will open Wednesday March 5 and continue through Saturday March 29. The artist’s reception is Saturday March 8, 5-8 PM. valet parking and refreshments will be provided. |
